Coldingham
Coldingham Village is a historic conservation village in the east of Berwickshire on the south east coast of Scotland.
Coldingham has an award winning blue flag beach, beautiful scenery and is an ideal place to base your holiday in the Scottish Borders
St Abbs with its Nature Reserve and world renowned diving grounds is approx 1.5 miles away.
The village is 2.5 miles from the main A1 and under one hour from Edinburgh our capital city
The Scottish Borders region
Covering about eighteen hundred square miles, the Scottish Borders stretches from the rolling hills and moorland in the west, through gentler valleys to the high agricultural plains of the east, and on to the rocky Berwickshire coastline with its secluded coves and picturesque fishing villages.
In the bright spring months, fresh new growth fills the valleys and forests of the Scottish Borders. Enjoy time to spare with the lure of lighter longer summer days or relax in more mellow shades of autumn when mauves and purples tint the moors. Crunch through the crisp frosts of winter, when early morning mist floats over the lowlands, and the snow capped hills sparkle in the distance. Land and sea, hills and moorland all sit happily side by side. Rivers and paths wind their way through untouched natural beauty whilst the more gentle pace of life subtly relaxes and revives you. Seasonal changes await to delight, every day at every turn.

“Perfect cottage in the countryside”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 NEW
Semi-detached cottage (the owners live next door) out in the countryside but close enough to Coldingham to walk to the convenience shop, visit the priory or Coldingham sands or have a drink at the local pub. Short distance to drive to other attractive places like the nature reserve at St Abbs Head, the fishing port of Eyemouth, the historic walls of Berwick-on Tweed. The cottage itself is well appointed, good sized living room with oval dining table and 6 chairs, well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom (en-suite) and 2nd bedroom with one single and one 3/4 bed and family bathroom. Central heating and additional gas fire excellent. Off-street parking for at least 2 cars. Large fenced grassed garden suitable for young children. Scenic views towards the North sea. The owners attended promptly when required and arranged to refund deposit by bank transfer when we left. A very enjoyable weekend - we hope to return :) NR
We would recommend this cottage with total conviction as somewhere to stay that has all the mod cons and all the comfort along side extremely lovely on site owners who spoil you rotten with a welcome due to old friends and privacy throughout the entire stay.(They live next door). We had no doubt if there were any problems they would have been only too happy to help immediately. We had a wonderful stay at Templehall Cottage and heartily recommend you to visit there if in the area. Close to Codingham for Spar shop and pub and priory and beach : ) Pet friendly too - which is wonderful. The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped to a very high standard and the double bed is very comfortable and hard to leave : ) The house has en suite bathroom and a family bathroom too- both showers are fabulous and instant hot water too. Can't wait to visit again when we can get a chance. Sarah and Tim and Bramble x

Milagros April 2017 Our family really enjoyed staying at Temple Hall Cottage. Andrew and Jeanette are brilliant hosts. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable, clean and spacious. The garden and its views are amazing. We enjoyed walking from the cottage to Coldingham Bay. A day out exploring St Abbs and a trip to St Abbostford House. We hope to come back some day. Thanks Andrew & Jeanette!

I booked a week here for my wife and I for our anniversary. And it will always have a special part in our hearts! The cottage was just perfect and so homely and comfortable. Andrew and Jeanette who own it are very nice people. Started when I booked and got one date wrong but Andrew helped me out straight away with no hassle. The views are stunning from the cottage. Andrew even moved a table and chairs to our garden so we could sit out and enjoy the weather. They even got a anniversary card for us when they found out it was our anniversary. Not many people would do that! And Coldingham bay was stunning! Two nights we went down with a throw away bbq and stayed till it went dark. Andrew and Jeanette thanks again for your hospitality and just sorry it took so long for me to put a review!! Mark

"Just perfect"
Templehall Cottage is a wonderful cottage with superb views of the country side and ocean. The cottage itself is modern with plenty of space. The back garden is the perfect spot for for a sunny cuppa or somewhere the kids can run around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Templehall and look forward to returning one day. The location is ideal. A very short walk to the village and a five minute drive to the A1. Highly recommended.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today for a stay in August 2014 NEW
The cottage was very pretty, and in a quiet location in the small but nice village of Coldingham. Andrew and Jeanette have thought of everything, and the cottage was stocked up with all the basic things like soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc when we arrived - it felt like a home from home. The view out the kitchen window is wonderful and made cooking and washing up a treat! However if you don't like washing up there is a dishwasher. There was a good selection of books to read and DVD's to watch if you wanted it, and attention to detail like candles to make it cosy in the evening. The garden was large and nice to sit out in, and we can recommend the New Inn in the village for a meal. You will NOT be disappointed with this cottage.

The cottage was above our expectations with a superbe sea and country side view. The house is large with a big (fenced) outside lawn which was great for the children to play in. The cottage was very clean and tidy upon arrival. It is modern and comfortable to stay in. It is fully equipped with all you needed, including wifi. The cottage owners, Jeanette and Andrew are very friendly and helpfull. The cottage is a very good base to explore the Scottish Borders and England with a lot of interesting historical sites and castles within reach and great hiking trails. The scenery is beautifull. We had a great time in Templehall Cottage!

This was our first visit to Templehall Cottage. What a lovely property, sympathetically modernised and very comfortable. Our little dog Molly settled in immediately and thoroughly enjoyed herself. The owners, Andrew and Jeanette could not have been more helpful. Templehall is is good base to explore the Borders and surrounding area. Looking forward to our next visit.
